Founded 50 years ago, Palestra Ricciardi is the biggest gym in the centre of Florence and offers an amazing atmosphere, fun, qualified instructors, fitness fanatics, American students and friendly people of all ages. Known as the coolest gym in town, Palestra Ricciardi combines experienced staff with the best modern equipment to offer the best fitness options. Situated in the heart of Florence, the gym is open 7 days a week throughout the year (including August): Monday to Friday 9am to 10pm; Saturdays 9.30am to 6pm; Sundays 10am-2pm. The gym is 1700 sqm in size, climate controlled throughout and has a lovely indoor garden. The pleasant environment is divided into various rooms dedicated to classes, a free weights room, a spinning and fitness area, fitted with 8 Step Machines, 12 Bikes, 10 Runner Mats, 4 Rotex and 2 Rowing machines. Merge fitness with well being by relaxing in one of the two saunas or fix an appointment with the centre’s masseur. This enjoyable and dynamic environment offers the following classes: hourly Free Body, Total Body Workout, Spinning, Gag, Step, Power Pump, Aerobic, Hip Hop, Jazz Funky, Aero Sculpt, Power Tone, Fix Box, Stretching and Soft Gymnastics. Attendance and working out is unlimited and membership allows you to take part in all the fitness groups you like. Palestra Ricciardi also provides personalised fitness programmes for novices under the supervision of a fully qualified instructor. There are special membership fees for students.
