English language theatre company

Florence International Theatre Company springs from the vision of Artistic Directors Aaron Craig and Bari Hochwald. FITC will create theatre in English in collaboration with international theatre artists resulting in an approach to theatre that will be recognized over time as unique to Florence. A large focus of FITC’s mission is to engage with the various groups who live in Florence and who come to visit.
Most of FITC’s mainstage productions will be seen on the newly renovated Be.bop Stage at Be.bop Music Club. FITC believes this is the perfect place to create something new in Florence. All productions will be followed by intimate discussions with the artists and audiences are invited to stay and listen to the live music offered later that night.

In November FITC will begin its season with the comedy-drama Net Worth called by critics Impossible to dislike and a hit at its premiere in Scotland. FITC will also be found at the British Library this month commemorating the Flood of 1966.
FITC Artistic Directors are working to do more than produce plays, but build a creative institution for the community that offers support to the various artists living and working in Florence. It takes a lot to do this, so of course volunteers are always welcome to contact them and take part.
