Run for your life...

The slogan is: buy a kilometre and fight breast cancer and it seems to work because the Corri La Vita marathon race and walk wins more and more participants every year. The cause is good, vital for many, and the event is supported by numerous personalities from show business and the world of sport, so that it attracts and involves even the simply curious.
At least 10 thousand people are expected to take part in this year's edition and will all receive gifts from the sponsors, though the official t-shirt designed by the main sponsor
Salvatore Ferragamo is bound to be the most requested. The race starts out and ends in
Piazza Santa Croce, a focal point in the initiative, where the prizegiving will also be held. The route passes through the city and the nearby hills - old city centre, Oltrarno and surroundings and back following a double itinerary: one for the actual race of about 12 kms, and the other for the walk (about 6 kms). Various museums, gardens, palaces can be visited en route by the participants.
