If you do go to Impruneta, remember that this is one of the ancient centres of the terracotta industry, where Brunelleschi had the tiles made to roof over the cupola of the Cathedral.
It is still a flourishing pottery town where you can not only find hand and machine made floor tiles in the typical beautiful soft red terracotta, but also a wonderful variety of garden pots, again hand made and very decorative. In other words an ideal present to have shipped home.
