Keeping the world a little cleaner...
Italian style goes ecological!

Like most people you probably care deeply about the future of the earth, but, however hard you try, you cannot find really resolutive solutions on how to get to work or school without using a car (half an hour is really too much to wait for a bus), how to save energy in the home and other alternative sources of energy.
Apre may be able to help at least some of us, as it is the Italian exhibition for biohousing and interior design and, together with
RiartEco (ecological art, architecture and design), and Bimbo Futuro (the habitat of the future), is arranged in biohousing and bio-architectural constructions in Piazza della Repubblica (right in the centre of the city). According to the organisers, these structures, when fully equipped, save enormously on energy.
Apre also compares methods of re-cycling building materials and offers professional advice to those desirous of up-dating their homes. Schools are encouraged to attend and talks will be given on health and environment in schools, pollution, conversions, transport, bio-architecture and energy saving. May 8th-14th.
It is followed in June by its sister show Ruotati or Wheels, which, by means of games, talks and demonstrations, offers the best in pollution-free or eco-compatible vehicles, and this does not mean just bicycles! June 9th-12th.
Don’t miss these shows that both offer interesting and very useful solutions for contributing towards cleaner air and the defence of the environment.
