Collecting in Florence Art and Crafts

Another Christmas market, this time the twice yearly Collecting in Florence fair where you can find everything you could possibly want in the antiques line, from classical antique pieces to collectors’ items, curios, prints and drawings. Crafts are not only represented with stalls but also with creative workshops so that you can see things in the making.
There are lots of really unusual stalls selling period Tuscan ceramics, for instance, rare pieces in silver, costume and antique jewellery, as well as paintings and furnishngs. Then there are old postcards, stamps, coins, records and books... practically everything under the sun!
It is a fascinating curios fair where you can browse away all day choosing some really original object that you could never have found at home in the States, while also keeping a sharp eye open for that very special bargain...
For those with an appetite there is also a corner dedicated to the tasting and sale of some really delicious typical local products that you can take home to sample with friends.
