Based on Frances Mayes's best-selling memoir of the same title, the American romantic comedy Under the Tuscan Sun is finally released in Italian movie theaters on May 7th. Directed and adapted by Audrey Wells and starring beautiful Academy Award nominee Diane Lane in the main role (and Italian no-less-attractive Raul Bova as her Neapolitan lover), the movie tells the story of a just-divorced San Francisco writer who, while on vacation in Tuscany, follows her sudden instinct and buys a derelict but very charming villa near the postcard-like hilltop town of Cortona, hoping it will mean a change for the better in her life. Restoring her new home, she eventually finds the fulfillment she was searching for, including love.
